FJWW Welcomes New Workplace Justice Fellow, Noa Batlan

Noa is a recent graduate of UC Davis School of Law, where they directed the Gender and Name Change Clinic and advocated on behalf of clients in removal proceedings through the Immigration Law Clinic. During law school, Noa also volunteered to support undocumented, low-wage workers in applying for the Deferred Action for Labor Enforcement program. Their research on the criminalization of gender affirming healthcare was published in the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties and Civil Rights.

Prior to law school, Noa worked as a litigation paralegal advancing movement-based direct legal services for workers centers and community organizers in Chicago. Noa holds a B.A. from the University of Chicago.
